Dahlia Fahmy PT, MBA.

Dahlia is the owner and founder of Sports and Ortho Physical Therapy which was established in 2003. Her main goal for starting the practice was to give patients the type of care that she felt they deserved and needed to get them back to full recovery. Her belief strongly lies in providing individual hands-on care along with an extensive exercise regimen and has seen great results with this combination.

Dahlia graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked with college football, hockey, and soccer teams as well as semi-pro football teams. Since graduating she has focused on perfecting her skills in orthopedics and sports medicine and has taken several courses in Manual Therapy and Orthopedics as well as completing her Manual Therapy Certification through St. Augustine University. As a dedicated clinician she is determined to see every patient get results, feel good about their care, and return back to their normal lives as quickly as possible. Surrounded by a great staff of caring and highly trained therapists, her goal is to build a practice that is highly regarded in the Orthopedic community as well as the community in which the clinics' serve.

Cori Mack PT, MPT, COMT, CWCE

Cori has been working with Sports and Ortho since it opened in 2003, and serves as Senior Manager and a Physical Therapist in the downtown location. Cori graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 1997. She went on to earn her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2001. Since that time she has dedicated herself to outpatient orthopedics focusing on the treatment of various muskuloskeletal conditions, and has been working with Sports and Ortho PT since it opened in 2003. Cori recently passed national examinations to earn her COMT (Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist) certification through the Maitland Institute, making her one of the few PT's in Illinois who have earned this advanced designation. Cori has been trained to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE's), and has been designated as a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator, who assists in determining an appropriate return to work for patients following injury.

Cori's diverse knowledge and expertise in Manual Therapy, along with training in the McKenzie method, have allowed her to become a very effective PT in the diagnosis and treatment of back pain. She has substantial experience in treating sports-related injuries, in rehabilitation of post-surgical and acute injuries, and in treating the complex patient as well. Cori advocates a treatment plan which incorporates both hands-on care with a comprehensive exercise program to attain the best possible outcome.

Beth Beaumont, PT, MPT

Beth Beaumont has been practicing Physical Therapy in out patient orthopedics for over eight years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 2000 and her Master’s in Physical Therapy from University of Indianapolis in 2002. She has had extensive training in Mckenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for Lumbar, Thoracic And Cervical Spine. She has also done continuing education for advance treatment of the shoulder and knee with Kevin Wilk, the Mulligan approach and hand rehabilitation.

Erin Dinsmore Schreiber, PT, DPT

Erin received her Bachelor's degree from Emory University in the biological sciences and went on to graduate from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007. Her clinical experience includes a wide range of patient populations, from outpatient orthopedics to inpatient acute, and with patients in all stages of their lives from geriatric to neonatal. She continues to expand her clinical expertise by seeking out continuing education courses, most recently completing her formal training in Mckenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the lumbar spine. Specialties include general orthopedics, manual therapy, and vestibular evaluations. She believes in patient care that is based on a foundation of education to promote self-management, with an emphasis on hands-on treatment, and guided exercise to promote lifelong wellness.

Johanna Greiner, PT

Johanna received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2002, and went on to pursue Masters studies in Industrial Engineering at SUNY Buffalo. Ms. Greiner has over seven years of outpatient orthopedic therapy experience, working with a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. She has spent the last three and half years specializing in Industrial Rehabilitation, working with Workers Compensation cases. Ms. Greiner is trained in performing Functional Capacity Evaluations, geared at restoring the injured worker back to their highest functional capacity for gainful employment. She was also responsible for administering Physical Therapy and supervising a comprehensive Work Conditioning/Hardening Program specific to the injured worker population. Johanna has pursued advanced training in Functional Capacity Evaluations, administering Work Hardening/Conditioning Programs, and management of shoulder and knee pathologies. Johanna is attuned to the needs of Workers' Compensation cases, attentive to the concerns and questions of referral sources and clients, and seeks the most appropriate course of treatment to return clients back to work. She believes in regular communication amongst members of the care

Dan Loch, PT, DPT

Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL in 2010. His clinical experience includes a wide range of patients from outpatient orthopedics to the inpatient acute care setting. Dan is actively seeking out continuing education opportunities to further advance his diagnosis and treatment skills. He plans to earn his Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and Manual Therapy Certification in the near future. His clinical interests include rehabilitation of all injuries to the back and extremities, particularly that of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. He has also had experience in Peak Performance Training and Over-Head Throwing Rehabilitation following Tommy John and SLAP lesions. He strongly believes in the importance of a balance between hands-on manual therapy, patient education, and stability & strength training to help patients reach their functional goals.

Christina Devormer, PT,DPT

Christina received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2007. Since that time she has devoted herself to Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Her goals are to continue to puruse Manual Therapy and receive a certification in the near future.

Linda Griffis, PT

Linda is our most experienced therapist with 26 years of Orthopedics under her belt. Linda's devotion to her profession is a testament to the philosophy of Sports and Ortho. With years of additional training in various techniques in Physical Therapy, Linda brings a wealth of information and knowledge to the practice. Her patients are surely lucky to have her as a treating practioner.

Robert is our CSCS certified therapist and has over 8 years of experience in orthopedics. He has trained in various modes of manual therapy and has shown to be able to work his patients hard for fast return to recovery.

Mallory Scholze, PT, DPT

Having been an athlete, Mallory has known she wanted to do something in the healthcare field from an early age. In high school, she sustained an athletic injury and became a physical therapy patient herself. She enjoyed her time in therapy as well as the relationships she developed with her therapists. She has always felt profound satisfaction in lending a helping hand to others, and the opportunity to help others regain their functional ability and attain their goals helped her to realize that physical therapy was the perfect career for her. She began working as an aide, which only strengthened her desire to become a physical therapist. After graduating from Elmhurst College in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, Mallory attended Northwestern University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009. Her clinical interests are vestibular therapy and orthopedics. Her goal is to expand the vestibular program to all our locations.

Stella Shaba, PTA

Stella joins our team as a graduate of Fox College with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree and also holds a degree in Exercise Physiology. Stella also has a background in personal training, track and field coaching, and has been involved in physical therapy since the year 2000. Her desire to continue to perfect her craft is something to be desired.
